So Wednesday morning, Andy will be out of the MTC and on his way to Alabama. He sent the flight details on Monday. One thing we did notice, it's
colder in Alabama than it is in Provo (picture). Hope he's gotten used to the cold. Maybe people will be compassionate and let them in when the weather is bad. They did for me in Germany (but it had to be more than just cold. Usually it took freezing drizzle to open their doors to us.)

I guess the link to the cold map of the US is a live link so it keeps changing. When I linked to it originally, it was 25F in Salt Lake/Provo and 19F in Birmingham.
This morning the gap has narrowed to 13F in SLC and 12F in Birmingham.
Looks like this morning it was 5F in Birmingham and 22F in Salt Lake. Andy flies tomorrow on Northwest out of SLC to Memphis, then takes a puddle jumper flight 200 miles to Birmingham on Pinnacle airways. Should get there by 4pm. 9 elders flying with him, but most would be English program so he's just meeting them.
That sounds really exicting for Andy. It will warm up in the south soon too.
I guess Andy's on an adventure. He called us from Georgia this evening. His flight from Memphis got canceled so they got shuttled to Georgia on a different flight and were expecting to get to Birmingham later tonight. He's with a group of 9 missionaries all lost on the same trip. He did say he'd given out a Book of Mormon to a Russian speaking flight attendant.
He made it. Arrived about 11:30pm Wednesday evening at the mission home in Birmingham as per a call from the mission secretary on Thursday. She'll be sending a letter with his first assignment later this week.
Thank you for keeping us updated :-)
