Next Step!

The next step now is getting the kids sealed.
We are wondering who wants to be here for it,
and for those of you who want to be here when you will be here.
we are thinking about doing it in the Ogden Temple.

Sometime in May, depending on those who want to come and
when you can get here.
If you could let us know that would be great Thanks!

The 2 new McGee's

The 2 new McGee's
(this is a picture of Jasmine, Alex and the Judge)

Today was the day of Jasmine and Alex's adoption.
Their names are now officially Alex Anthony Guzmon McGee
and Jasmine Johanna Perez McGee.
All week they have been trying out their new last name.
However Alex would say that his name is Alex Johanna Guzmon McGee
and Jasmine would say her name is Jasmine Anthony Perez McGee.
They were so excited, their grandma, great grandma and great grandpa came,
as well as Brittany, Betsy, and Daniel.
Alex kept trying to talk into the microphone during the court hearing,
so when it was all over the Judge let them talk into his microphone and play in his chair
Here are some pictures of the kids after it was all over.

Here Jasmine and Alex are playing with the microphone in the Judges seat
.
Here they are with The Judge and their new mom and Dad (Jim and Carla McGee).

Here is the final picture from left to right there is the Judge, Jasmine, Wendy Archibald (their Grandma), Alex, Brittany, Jim, Daniel, Betsy, and Carla.

Lloyd as a Child

Aunt Myrna recently sent me a treasure trove of family pictures. I'll get them scanned in eventually but for today, here are some pictures of Dad as a child.

These pictures range from Nov 1926 to about 1943. See if you can identify Dad in each one.

Good news!

Some of you probably already know this, but I am going on to the final stage of the Foreign Service Officer selection process! I'm really lucky to have gotten this far. This means that I will be traveling to DC sometime in May for an oral evaluation which will include a group interaction and an individual interview. As far as I know, I will find out there if I'm hired. That means I really only have one step left! I'm really excited and really nervous all at the same time.
Another piece of news, I will be graduation this coming April. You are all invited to my graduation. It will be on the 23rd and 24th of April (Thursday and Friday). If you can only come to one, come to Friday, that, I believe, is when I will actually be getting my diploma.
Well, I hope to see some of you there!

Isaac turned 12 today. Hopefully there are more recent pictures than mine. Mom and Dad can mention their visit with him today.

Congratulations, Isaac

Happy Birthday to Jenn A.

Kleigh's mom. I'd add a picture but the only one I have is the same one I used last year. K.C. should update our photo collections.

Hope your day went well.

Kleigh A. turned 6 today. I found this older picture. Perhaps Jenn or KC can update with a more recent photo and comments on what he likes.

Congratulations

Happy Birthday Whitney

Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

Here are Katie and Whitney looking like Sisters from last August.

and here is Whitney's family surrounding her with love last July.

And this is a link to her latest exploits.

Happy Birthday
