Anna's Thesis

As part of her major in Psychology, Anna wrote a thesis. She did some research with animals and their owners. Here is an abbreviated view of her work. This is called a Word Cloud or 'Wordle'.

She started a job last Tuesday at the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) where she'll be working on a research project involving adult ADHD.

The university is on top of a big hill. This picture makes it look flatter than it is. It's only a few miles from her new apartment near Reed, but across the river and up the hill. There is a nice Disney style tram from the parking lots by the river up to the campus on top.

Exciting News

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I had my Oral Assessment for the Foreign Service today and I passed! This means that I have a conditional offer of employment. Pending my security, medical, and suitability clearances, I will have a job. If something goes wrong in those clearances, then I won't have a job, but I don't expect anything to go wrong.
If you want to read more about my day, check it out on my blog (there is a link to the side as well).
Thanks to everyone that prayed for me to do well! I am so glad that it is over, but I am even more glad that I passed! Soon it will be off to the far reaches of the planet for me!

Hey

Ok so sorry that it took me so long to sit down and do this but for those of you who know we have recently moved, we are just about setteled in and would really like to let all of you be able to stay in contact with us!!.. So if any of you would like our new phone number or address please comment and give me your email. I would post them but i dont think that would be such a great idea... Any how please let me know soon so that I can get them out to you.
Oh and for a short update. Daniel is doing great and keeping both Adam and my self busy he now weights around 20 pounds and i have no idea how tall. He loves to climb the stairs in our house and thinks it's fun (and i'm not kidding) to go down them head first. He is also enjoying all the places that he can hide, and all of the doors that he can shut... He has such a sweet spirit and loves to cuddle when he is tired.
A couple of months ago we had one of Carla's second cousins move in with us and due to the fact that we only had two rooms we moved Daniel into our room. He then got very use to sleeping next to us in his little bed. So needless to say Daniel is not a huge fan of sleeping in his own room. Although it is getting better he only wakes up once in the night which is very normal for him.
Adam is still working hard on school and work. And i'm still just the Mom and trying to keep everything put togeather. So this is not a very good update and I hope that I will be able to post some pictures soon. But for now this will have to due. Love you all and hope that you are having a great week.

Another graduate

Here is Anna, displaying her laurels. When the Reed seniors turn in their final thesis, they are given the nice headbands to signify their accomplishments. Then they have to run a gauntlet of congratulations and celebrations (thus the superwoman costume). She'll be officially graduated on the 17th but the hard part is done. Hopefully she'll update on her plans.

Dad update

Just a quick note to let you know that Dad is now home from the hospital. He is still on oxygen and having some word finding difficulties but it is getting better. He was given a walker but of course isn't sure if he needs it or not. :-)
