I realize that some of you know about this already and maybe some of you have heard little bits, so I've been asked to post more inform- ation on here so that everyone can be involved. My mom (see far left in the picture) Karen, was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I don't know a whole lot more than that except it is bad enough that she has been hospitalized. They can't do anything for her in Bismarck, so she has been transfered to a hospital in Minneapolis. I don't know the name of the hospital.
So, please keep her in your prayers! Now that she is in Minneapolis (they flew her and my dad there today) she will have to have surgery and then go through chemotherapy.
I guess that's about it. There's not much else to be said, yet, but I will try to keep you informed as soon as I get more information. We love you all and appreciate your support, prayers and love during this time.

Thanks Rachel, for the update. We'll keep her and you kids as well, in our prayers.

She's in our prayers. My mom's an ovarian cancer survivor; I know how hard it is to deal with.
Rachel, she actually said it was "cancer of the cervix" not ovarian cancer and according to Dad after she recovers from the surgery, she will be moved from Minneapolis and back to Bismarck for the Chemotherapy
Thanks Lizzy, I didn't find out about the return to Bismarck for chemotherapy until after I posted, but dad told me it is ovarian cancer, and that was the latest, though at first he said cervical cancer. So, I'm pretty sure it is ovarian cancer.
I checked out some websites and the descriptions she gave of some symptoms fit ovarian cancer closer than cervical cancer. Thank you for posting about it. It will help to keep up to date on it.
Our thoughts, love and prayers are with your mom and family. Keep us posted on how her treatment is progressing.
Michele
